(1) Wheatgrass Jar
2 oz wheatgrass seeds (enough for 2 plants)
1 Teaspoon of Catnip Seeds (enough for 3-4 plants)

Additional seeds can be purchased.

Comes with instructions on how to sprout the wheatgrass seeds (no soil needed just water) and how to stratify and plant the catnip seeds (soil required)

CATNIP INSTRUCTIONS:

To grow:

- Stratify Catnip Seeds (see instructions below)**
-Planter of your choosing (size approx. 5x5x5 is ideal)
-60mm Minute Soil Discs - Add 1 cup of water to each disc to re-hydrate - Expands up to 15 times - Yields approx. 2.25 cup of soil per disc
- Catnip Seeds (use about ½ of the bag)

Put ¾ of the soil into your container.
Press down lightly to pack soil.
Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil.
Cover with remaining soil, layer should be ¼-½ an inch deep
Keep moist while sprouting- takes approx. 2 weeks to start seeing growth.

** Stratification is a process by which the seeds are treated to varying conditions as a means to promote germination. For catnip, seed sowing should occur after the seeds about been placed in a freezer overnight. After this period, allow the seeds to soak in water for a period of 24 hours. This will allow for easier and more uniform germination rates. After the stratification process has been completed, use a seed starting tray to plant the seeds. Place the tray in a warm location near a windowsill or under grow lights. When kept consistently moist, germination should occur within 5-10 days. Move the seedlings to a bright location.

WHEATGRASS INSTRUCTIONS:

Sprouting Instructions

1- Pour seeds into desired container.
Tip: You want a good solid layer covering the bottom

2- Fill container with enough water to cover seeds completely. Soak for 9 hours.

3- Drain water and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
Tip: Place container into a lightly sealed ziplock bag to help the sprouting process

4- Rinse seeds with fresh water daily until the white “tails” appear, usually 2-3 days.
Tip: Keep in a lightly sealed ziplock bag until the “tails” start turning into roots. Green blades will start to appear.

5- Once grass has come in, keep misted with water. You don’t want the seeds to dry out.
Tip: To help extend the life of your plant, every couple days wash the container with warm soapy water
and allow fresh water to run thru your plant and drain out completely.
To remove the plant from its container pull firmly and evenly on the blades and it should pop out.
